Notes:
- Not all courses are offered in every semester and course offerings may vary from time to time.
- Courses numbered 500-526 and 590 are specially designed for, and restricted to, MSPE students; other courses are university-wide courses.
- Syllabi from past semesters are provided when available; they are not uniform across instructors.
- With almost all available textbooks in economics being written either for undergraduate or Ph.D. students, MSPE instructors typically supplement textbooks with their own sets of notes.
- Only two of the six required elective courses can be at the 400 level.
- ECON 527 is equivalent to ECON 420 and is counted as a 400 level course.
- If both Ph.D. and master's sections of the same course is taken, only one will be counted towards the degree requirements of the program.
- The same course cannot be taken at both 400 and 500 level to satisfy the program requirements.
- All independent study courses must be approved by the director if they are to be counted towards the degree requirements of the program.
